How does piece-rate pay work?
Set a making rate on each product. When a worker’s entry is approved, the quantity times the rate is added to what they earned.
Does it handle advances?
Yes. Record advances, salary paid, bonuses and deductions. The salary sheet shows the balance and carries it into the next month.
Is this a payroll or tax compliance system?
No. It keeps your wage records and balances. It does not file PF, ESI, SSF or tax for you.
What is Astra Biz?
Astra Biz is simple inventory, quotation, sales and delivery software for shops, wholesalers, distributors and factories. It keeps stock exact, prints professional quotations and tracks every delivery, and it can also run production and wages.
Is Astra Biz suitable for factories and workshops?
Yes. Turn on the production tools to record each worker’s attendance and output, add finished goods to stock, and work out wages on a salary sheet. It suits small and medium factories and workshops, and it is not a machine-level MRP system.
Can I track customer payments?
Yes. Record full or part payments at any time, even before delivery. Each sale shows Payment due, Partially paid or Fully paid, and your income counts only the money received.
Can I see where my staff are?
If you turn it on, staff must share their location to use the app, and the owner sees them on a map. It is a web app, so location is shared only while the app is open on their phone.
Is it available in Nepali and Hindi?
Yes. Astra Biz works fully in English, Nepali and Hindi. Each staff member chooses their own language, and printed documents follow it.
Does it support VAT in Nepal and GST in India?
Yes. Choose रू with VAT and PAN, or ₹ with GST and GSTIN, in settings. Quotations and sales add the tax automatically.
Is it an IRD-approved billing system?
No. Astra Biz manages quotations, sales orders, deliveries and stock. If you need official tax invoices, tell us your requirements and we’ll advise you.
Does it work on mobile phones?
Yes. It works in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, with large buttons and simple screens.
Where is my data stored?
On your own server or office computer — not in a shared public cloud. Only the people you create accounts for can log in.
